It’s easily one of the more expensive external hard drives we’ve reviewed but it’s built to last and it’s perfect if you like to travel with your external hard drive without worrying about it breaking.

In all honesty I wouldn’t call this the best external hard drive for Mac, but it’s not built as your average external hard drive. It’s made for people who won’t be leaving it on the desk and don’t want to deal with a broken hard drive. If you like travel or you have the extra cash and want some durability in your external hard drives then it’s worth a look. We’ve reviewed the eGo before, I think we’ve actually reviewed two of them in fact and they’re pretty solid drives. The main thing this drive has going for it is the style and portability.
