It has two firewire 800 ports and a USB 2.0 port. I’m not really sure why you’d want two firewire ports and I prefer USB myself but it’s good to have both. It’s not USB 3.0 but that hasn’t really become mainstream yet and 2.0 is easily fast enough for most people.

The included firewire as only about three and a half feet long which is fine if you’re just hooking it up on your desk and leaving it there but if you’re planning on moving it around a lot you might want to get something a little longer to save you having to go to the back every time, that or just swap over and use a USB cable when you’re moving it.
At 5×7.3 inches and 1.5 thick it’s not the thinnest external drive around but what you’re really getting here is a fast and durable hard drive with a big storage. The slight extra size is a small price to pay for a drive of this quality for this low a price.
